Role Overview:

Llamau Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Peripatetic Support Worker to join our exceptional team. As a key worker, you will play a vital role in motivating and empowering young people to gain independence and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement support plans to help young people achieve their goals and independence.
  • Build strong and positive relationships with young people, using a non-judgmental and empathetic approach.
  • Collaborate with the team to provide a safe and inclusive home environment, promoting the well-being and resilience of young people.
  • Work closely with local agencies, such as the local authority, charities, and education providers, to enhance partnership working and promote services.
  • Stay up-to-date with housing options, housing law, and basic benefits to provide informed support to young people.

Requirements:

  • Experience in support work or housing, with a strong understanding of housing options and benefits.
  • A non-judgmental and positive mindset, with an awareness of the impacts of homelessness, substance misuse, and trauma.
  • A resilient and forward-thinking attitude, with the ability to overcome barriers and setbacks.
  • A strong character, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A full UK driving license and access to a car.

Additional Information:

Additional payment of £79.20 for on-call duties. Relief pay per hour £11.55, sleepover £155.70.
