Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement support plans to help young people achieve their goals and independence.
  • Build strong and positive relationships with young people, using a non-judgmental and positive mindset.
  • Collaborate with the team to provide a safe and inclusive home environment, promoting the well-being and development of young people.
  • Work closely with local agencies, such as the local authority, charities, and education providers, to enhance relationship building and partnership working skills.
  • Stay up-to-date with housing options, housing law, and basic benefits to provide informed support to young people.

Requirements:

  • Ability to engage complex young people and build strong relationships with good boundaries.
  • Non-judgmental and positive mindset, with an understanding of the impacts of homelessness, substance misuse, family breakdown, domestic abuse, and trauma.
  • Forward-thinking and resilient attitude, with the ability to overcome barriers and setbacks.
  • Strong character, remaining calm and collected in challenging situations.
  • Experience in support work or housing, with a full UK driving license and access to a car.

Additional Information:

Additional payment of £79.20 for on-call duties. Any shift completed voluntarily or as part of on-call will be paid in addition to your salary at relief rates; Relief Pay per hour £11.55, Sleepover £155.70.
