Job Title: Peripatetic Support Assistant
Role Overview:
- A service that provides a safe and inclusive home environment for young people, offering emotional and practical support to empower them to achieve their potential, transition into independent living, and engage in employment or education.
- The successful candidate will offer day-to-day support to motivate and empower young people to gain independence and reach their full potential.
- The role involves providing support and advice in line with support plans and as requested by the young person’s keyworker, working collaboratively as part of a team who embrace differences and creative thinking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage and build strong relationships with young people, understanding the impacts of homelessness, domestic abuse, and trauma.
- Offer crisis response with a forward-thinking attitude.
- Remain calm and collected in challenging and traumatic situations.
