As a Peripatetic Support Worker, you will be part of a dynamic team that delivers successful outcomes for young people, providing a safe and inclusive home environment and helping them achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key worker to motivate and empower young people to gain independence and reach their full potential.
  • Create support plans and help young people achieve their goals and independence, working collaboratively as part of a team who embrace differences.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with young people, promoting a positive and non-judgmental attitude.
  • Work closely with local agencies, such as the local authority, specialist charities, education and training providers, probation, social services, and housing provisions, to enhance partnership working and relationship building skills.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your knowledge and skills in support work and housing.

Requirements:

  • Experience in support work or housing, with a strong understanding of housing options, housing law, and basic benefits.
  • A full UK driving license and access to a car.
  • A non-judgmental and positive mindset, with an understanding of the impacts of homelessness, substance misuse, family breakdown, domestic abuse, and trauma.
  • A forward-thinking and resilient attitude, with the ability to overcome barriers and setbacks.
  • A strong character who can remain calm and collected in challenging situations.

Additional Information:

Additional payment of £79.20 for on-call duties. Any shift completed voluntarily or as part of on-call will be paid in addition to your salary at relief rates.
