Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Patient Advisor at Hucclecote Surgery. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide front-of-house customer service to patients, carers, and visitors, ensuring a positive and professional image at all times.
  • Direct patients to the appropriate healthcare professional, book appointments, and answer queries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform day-to-day administrative duties, including data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Process personal and telephone requests for appointments, visits, and telephone consultations, ensuring callers are directed to the correct healthcare professional.
  • Process and distribute incoming mail, emails, and footfall enquiries, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to practice protocols.
  • Take messages and pass on information to relevant staff members, ensuring seamless communication.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy reception area, notice-boards, and leaflet dispensers, adhering to practice standards.
  • Undertake training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge, contributing to the effectiveness of the team.
Requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, carers, and colleagues.
  • Proven customer service experience, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively.
  • Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office and clinical software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor under pressure.
