Position Summary

This role presents an exceptional chance to join an award-winning legal practice within their Private Client division, providing specialized legal guidance to a diverse array of vulnerable clients. The firm has been acknowledged by the Legal 500 for its exemplary client service and high-caliber attorneys.

The Court of Protection team is newly established, making this highly desirable position an opportunity to collaborate with the Deputy and Head of the Court of Protection team to cultivate a successful unit and achieve ongoing growth.

The ideal applicant will possess at least one year of experience in Court of Protection matters and will assist with various aspects of Court of Protection work, including Personal Injury trusts, statutory wills, gift applications, and deputyship applications. You will also have the chance to support Senior Solicitors with Lasting Powers of Attorney and manage probate and estate administration tasks.

Strong client care abilities, along with experience in a Court of Protection department, are essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate a solid understanding of the Mental Capacity Act 2005, the Mental Capacity Code of Practice, and the Court of Protection Rules.

There is a consistent influx of new instructions from existing clients, and the firm is in search of a driven, technically proficient lawyer with ambition, capable of building relationships and reassuring clients during potentially stressful circumstances.
