About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for a Senior Process Engineer to join our team at Matchtech Energy. As a key member of our process engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality process designs and ensuring that our projects are executed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Lead Process Engineer in project execution, ensuring that all process designs meet the required standards and are delivered on time.
  • Represent the process engineering discipline in HAZIDs, HAZOPs, design reviews, and other relevant meetings, providing technical expertise and ensuring that all stakeholders are informed.
  • Take responsibility as the unit lead engineer for process units when applicable, overseeing the design and development of process systems and equipment.
  • Check and approve process calculations following company procedures, ensuring that all calculations are accurate and compliant with industry standards.
  • Supervise technical activities of team members to meet required standards, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Conduct detailed calculations to develop designs, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ensure design methods, standards, and data meet company requirements, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Prepare Process Flow Diagrams, equipment specifications, process descriptions, and P&IDs for review and approval, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Coordinate and manage discipline and multidisciplinary interfaces, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and that projects are executed smoothly.
  • Design oil and gas process systems and equipment as needed, applying technical expertise and industry knowledge.
  • Support the development of internal tools and maintain high safety standards, ensuring that all processes and procedures are compliant with industry regulations.
Requirements
  • Proficient in P&ID development and preparation of process instrument datasheets, with a strong understanding of process design and development.
  • Experience with flare and relief load calculations, equipment, and PSV sizing, with a strong understanding of process safety and risk management.
  • Ability to check and verify process deliverables, ensuring that all work is accurate and complete.
  • Strong command of written and spoken English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in brownfield process verification and debottlenecking studies is desirable, as is proven ability to lead a small team and previous experience on similar debottlenecking projects.
  • Qualifications: Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, with Chartered Engineer status preferred.
