About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Support Worker to join our dynamic team in Wandsworth. As a SEND Support Worker, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and enjoyable learning environment for students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, promoting their confidence and self-esteem.
  • Assist class teachers with classroom activities, ensuring a smooth and effective learning experience.
  • Provide individualized support to students, addressing their specific needs and learning styles.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Support students with personal care duties, including PEG feeding, as needed.

Our institution is a friendly and inclusive school in Wimbledon, renowned for its outstanding OFSTED rating. We cater to students aged 2-19 with challenging behavior, providing a supportive and stimulating environment that fosters academic excellence.

Requirements
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.
  • Recent experience in supporting individuals with additional needs.
  • Willingness to undergo child and adult DBS clearance through Lara Search.
