Payroll Officer Job Description

This role is responsible for supporting the daily running of the payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll for approximately 250 staff members, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations
  • Collate and finalise information regarding starters, leavers, and salary changes
  • Process payroll HR matters and authorise payroll-related payments
  • Liaise directly with staff to assist with HR queries related to salaries
  • Process monthly timesheets and input additional hours on the payroll system
  • Prepare monthly payroll and annual statutory returns, and ensure compliance with audits
  • Administer all pension schemes, complete year-end returns, and ensure compliance with audits
  • Undertake payroll-related projects and manage system improvements
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar position
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in payroll
  • Strong attention to detail
