Position Overview

An exciting opportunity has emerged within the NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership for the role of Inventory Control Supervisor.

This position will primarily involve collaboration with the Logistics and Materials Management Business Partner across designated Health Boards to facilitate the deployment and execution of the Stock Management Inventory System, including the Supply X and Scan 4 Safety initiatives.

The successful candidate will engage closely with various departments, including Wards and Theatres, while also working alongside the Materials Management Team. This role requires a proactive approach to daily responsibilities, with the ability to operate independently while also receiving guidance from the Project Team.

Key Responsibilities

The main duties of this role include:

  • Providing support across all 'go-live' sites.
  • Ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained within departments and assisting in the regular review of par levels.
  • Collaborating with Stock Controllers to achieve stock rationalization by optimizing inventory levels and addressing slow-moving or non-moving stock.
  • Monitoring and actioning system-generated cycle count tasks to verify stock quantities.
  • Resolving stock-related queries, including deficiencies, damaged goods, and unclear orders, while offering advice for corrective measures to mitigate future risks.
  • Utilizing various computer systems to support the implementation of the Scan for Safety initiative.
