We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team as a Principal SLT in the Neurodevelopmental Diagnostic Service (NDS) and the Transforming Care Autism Team (TCAT).
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership to the NDS and TCAT teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to autistic individuals and their families.
- Develop and implement clinical pathways for Speech and Language Therapy assessment and intervention in the NDS and TCAT.
- Hold a clinical caseload of autistic individuals with complex mental health needs and provide specialist support and guidance to other SLTs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement neuroaffirmative practice and promote the role of SLT in the NDS and TCAT.
- License to practice as a Speech and Language Therapist.
- Experience working with autistic individuals and their families, particularly in the context of neurodevelopmental services.
- Strong leadership and clinical skills, with the ability to develop and implement clinical pathways and lead multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders, including SLTs, nurses, occupational therapists, and families.
