About the Role
Crossroads Truck & Bus Ltd, a leading provider of transportation solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Credit Controller to join their team. As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for managing the company's credit control processes, ensuring timely payment from customers and maintaining a positive cash flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a high volume of credit control chaser calls and follow-up calls to ensure prompt payment from customers.
- Process monthly reminder letters to customers who have outstanding balances.
- Deal with incoming calls from customers in connection with credit control calls made.
- Process copy invoices to customers as required.
- Control the logging of disputed items onto the query system.
- Assist customers with their queries in an efficient, effective, and courteous manner.
- Use a credit checking website to update references and monitor financial information.
- Process new account applications in accordance with company guidelines.
- Perform general office duties, including answering the telephone and providing administrative support to managers.
Requirements
- Experience with Sage Intacct or a similar credit control package.
- The ability to demonstrate different approaches to chasing debt.
- A strong work ethic to deliver results in a timely and efficient manner.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- A self-motivated team player with a positive attitude.
- Good communication skills, including a polite and firm telephone manner.
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
