About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring Female Support Worker Specialist to join our team at Advance. As a Support Worker for Women with Learning Disabilities, you will play a vital role in supporting our customers in delivering a 24-hour registered supported living service.

This service provides support to 4 adults with complex needs, including learning disabilities and mental health conditions. As a Support Worker, you will work closely with the Support Manager and team to ensure that our customers receive the highest level of care and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with personal care and hygiene as needed
  • Administer medication as required
  • Support with preparing and cooking meals
  • Accompany customers to medical appointments
  • Support with social activities and independent skills
  • Contribute to keeping accurate records and updating care plans
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic knowledge of learning disabilities and mental health conditions
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
  • Willingness to learn and develop skills in areas such as medication administration and personal care
