Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resuscitation and Simulation Trainer to join our team at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Resuscitation and Simulation training team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education and training to our staff and medical students.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the delivery of all levels of resuscitation training
  • Developing and delivering new and innovative simulation and clinical skills training sessions for medical students on clinical placements
  • Working towards the development and facilitation of competency-based clinical skills training and assessment for doctors in training

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in working within a multi-professional team
  • Ability to give effective feedback and debriefing
  • Clinically registered practitioner, teaching qualification and ILS, ALS or APLS provider
  • Knowledge of recent developments in resuscitation and clinical skills
  • Relevant clinical experience in acute care
  • Experience in teaching and assessing clinical skills, resuscitation and clinical simulation
