About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Capability Lead Waste and Environmental to join our team at Babcock International Group. As a leader in the UK nuclear industry, we are committed to creating a safe and secure world, together.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership of the Radioactive Waste Management and Environmental Capability through the application of process, domain knowledge and experience.
  • Develop the Waste and Environmental Capability to be industry leading in line with our strategy and growth plans.
  • Develop excellent collaborative client relationships.
  • Take an active role in appropriate professional networks on behalf of Babcock International Group.
  • Lead the development and implementation of capability strategies and plans.
  • Be responsible for the career development of waste and environmental specialists.
  • Manage resource supply to meet near-term and strategic demand.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in the nuclear sector, with significant radioactive waste management experience proven over several years.
  • Proven experience in supporting projects throughout the service lifecycle.
  • Experience of building and line managing technical teams.
  • Excellent knowledge of an established network within the radioactive waste sector.
