We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our Public Health Department as a Public Health Business Support Officer. This exciting opportunity will involve supporting the delivery of various programmes aimed at reducing health inequalities and improving the health and wellbeing of our local communities.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the planning, management, and delivery of work programmes, which may include:

  • Project support and operational planning;
  • Operational delivery of projects;
  • Analysis and reporting of data and evidence to support project development;
  • Preparation of evaluation reports and presenting these to Senior colleagues;
  • Stakeholder engagement and event planning and management

This role will deliver effective and efficient project management support to public health programmes of work focusing on sexual health and blood borne viruses, TB, Migrant Screening, and Screening Inequalities.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Education to degree level or equivalent relevant experience in a health-related subject or project management;
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills;
  • Ability to work flexibility across different programmes of work and be a proactive problem solver;
  • Confidence to engage with people at all levels;
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight timescales.
