Forseven, a pioneering company revolutionizing the EV industry through cutting-edge technology and innovative engineering practices, is seeking a highly skilled HV Diagnostics Engineer to join our dynamic Vehicle Electrification Team.

Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager – Powertrain Systems, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of Forseven's High Voltage System solutions. You will play a crucial part in shaping the future of sustainable mobility by focusing on powertrain diagnostics, electrification diagnostics, and thermal diagnostics across multiple programs targeting diverse markets.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and define diagnostic requirements based on customer specifications, supplier software, and homologation standards.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders, including homologation, service, and software teams, to ensure the diagnostic strategy effectively meets all requirements.
  • Develop and deliver core Forseven powertrain, electrification, and thermal diagnostics, encompassing aspects such as high voltage safety and charging, from standard calibrations provided by suppliers.
  • Plan and execute diagnostic development activities on a range of vehicles in conjunction with the wider powertrain test and validation team. This includes supporting climatic test trips and vehicle builds.
  • Produce comprehensive and high-quality reports and documentation, including regulatory submissions, to ensure a thorough audit trail of completed diagnostic exercises.
Your Profile:
  • Extensive experience in electric powertrains within an automotive engineering environment, with a deep understanding of the V-Cycle.
  • Proven expertise in vehicle diagnostic calibration and analysis using toolsets such as ETAS INCA and Vector CANalyzer.
  • Demonstrable comprehension of high voltage architectures, underlying principles, and technologies, including thermal management, high voltage safety, and control strategies.
  • A successful track record of resolving complex vehicle control issues related to diagnostics. This includes experience in analyzing software strategy guides and documentation to deliver diagnostics at the vehicle level.
  • Possession of an Electronics, Control Systems, Automotive, or similar honors engineering degree. Other recognized engineering qualifications combined with relevant significant experience will be considered. High Voltage training to Senior Authorised Person or IMI Level 4 is preferred.
