Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Pump Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Pump Engineer to join our team at Verto People. The successful candidate will provide mechanical repair, service, and maintenance on various pump systems, including submersible, hydraulic, diesel engines, electric motors, and other similar pump solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide mechanical repair, service, and maintenance on various pump systems.
  2. Undertake planned and preventative maintenance at customer sites across the Norfolk and Suffolk areas.
  3. Install pump systems into all forms of the manufacturing industry.
  4. Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on various pump equipment.
  5. Work in the workshop based in Great Yarmouth when not at customer sites.
  6. Liaise with various engineering departments.
Requirements:
  1. Service background in electromechanical or mechanical engineering, including compressors, filtration, generators, pipework, valves, pumps, vacuum systems, motors, gearboxes, plant machinery, rotating equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, and/or electromechanical engineering equipment.
  2. Proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical or mechanical engineering systems.
  3. Experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, Service Technician, Hydraulic Engineer, Mobile Engineer, Mechanical Fitter, Workshop Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Installation Engineer, Pump Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or similar.
  4. The ability to maintain good professional working relationships with existing and new customers.
  5. Good working knowledge of three-phase electrics and controls is advantageous.
  6. A technical engineering degree/qualification or apprentice trained would be advantageous.
  7. Willingness to cover the Norfolk, Suffolk area, and be based out of the workshop in Great Yarmouth when not at customer sites.
