Finance Manager Opportunity
Trial Balance Consulting is pleased to offer a challenging and rewarding finance management role with a well-established and fast-growing hospitality business. The company seeks an experienced Finance Manager to join their team on a full-time assignment with a fixed duration of 3 months, with potential to convert to a permanent contract at completion.
The role can be operated on a hybrid working arrangement to suit both sides, split between the company's headquarters and remotely. Working closely with a very experienced Finance Director and supervising a small transaction finance team, this will be a varied role with a key focus on the production of management information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production of High-Quality Management Accounts: Prepare and present high-quality monthly management accounts, including commentary and analysis.
- Financial Insight and Analysis: Work closely with the FD, MD, and tier one management team to provide a range of financial insights, including KPIs, opportunities, trends, and potential risks.
- Team Supervision: Supervise a small team of transactional accounting colleagues, providing guidance and support to ensure the smooth operation of the finance function.
- Cash Flow Forecasts and Budgets: Produce accurate and timely cash flow forecasts and budgets, ensuring the company's financial stability and growth.
- Financial Analysis and Reporting: Analyze past month performance, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for cost reduction.
- Cost Reduction Initiatives: Research and implement cost reduction initiatives to optimize the company's financial performance.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the company's balance sheet, reconciling all accounts and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Project Costings: Analyze project costings, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to stakeholders.
- VAT Reporting and Submission: Ensure timely and accurate VAT reporting and submission, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with external stakeholders, including banks and auditors, to ensure smooth communication and compliance with regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will possess a solid understanding and experience of producing high-quality management accounts, ideally professionally qualified - ACA/ACCA/CIMA. They will also have recently gained experience in all aspects of running a highly efficient finance function and ideally staff supervision. A sound working knowledge of MS Excel and digital accounting platforms will be essential.
The role works with a motivated and professional team, and the Finance Manager will be a prominent member of the business, requiring excellent team-working and communication skills.
