Trial Balance Consulting is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious accountant to join their accounting team as a Head of Finance. This is a pivotal role that will open up infinite vocational opportunities for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will provide detailed information, analysis, and recommendations relating to the financial position and course of their business unit. They will take a lead in the end-to-end financial lifecycle, including all aspects of budgeting, reporting, variance analysis, and reporting on KPIs.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and develop all aspects of financial planning - analytics, P&L forecasting, budget planning, cash flow forecasting, etc.
- Produce detailed monthly reports on financial processes and performance.
- Financial modelling & budgeting.
- Commentate to SMT on company performance.
- Support new investment strategies through financial reporting.
The ideal candidate will be a part or fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or possess good vocational experience in a similar role. They will have demonstrable experience in both technical and commercial financial reporting, complex modelling, and long-term forecasting skills. Sound IT capability and the ability to quickly master bespoke accounting packages are essential.
This is a role that sits both in and out of the core financial function, and the ability to converse clearly with the SMT and department heads will be essential.
