We are seeking an experienced Interventional Imaging Nurse to join our Imaging department at The Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients and their relatives while they are within the radiology department.
Main Responsibilities- Assist in the safe, effective, and efficient management of the department within allocated resources.
- Provide emotional support to patients by displaying a caring and empathetic attitude at all times.
- Initiate and participate in departmental developments and take a proactive role in the implementation of procedures and policies to improve patient care.
- Work closely with radiology consultant, radiographers, and RDAs within the department.
- Develop and maintain clinical skills and knowledge necessary to provide holistic, evidence-based nursing care.
- Maintain patient records and ensure all relevant information is documented in the patients' medical and nursing notes.
- Assist in ensuring the safety of the department and the risk management process by actively participating in risk registers and assessments, clinical audit, clinical risk, and quality issues.
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration in adult or general nursing.
- Significant post-registration skills in an imaging department.
- Excellent clinical skills, communication skills, and professional commitment and self-awareness.
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and good organisational and time management skills.
