Position Summary

This full-time hybrid position allows for some remote work flexibility. As a vital member of our organization, you will play a key role in planning and executing open water swimming excursions, ensuring participant safety and satisfaction, while enhancing the renowned guest experience that SwimTrek is celebrated for.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Product Development:

  • Establish long-term partnerships while maximizing short-term tactical opportunities.
  • Conduct capacity planning for accommodations and other resources to align with the program schedule.
  • Optimize overall supply chain expenses.

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Identify and understand the needs of target markets.
  • Conduct market research and competitive assessments.

Product Management:

  • Foster innovation to enhance guest experiences and drive additional revenue.
  • Ensure trip descriptions and related information are accurate and current.
  • Collaborate with Operations to maintain swim itineraries and address action points.

Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Develop and sustain strong, effective relationships with supplier partners.
  • Plan and budget for annual inspection trips and networking events.
  • Maintain comprehensive supplier agreement documentation.

Commercial Oversight:

  • Assist in inventory management.
  • Evaluate supplier costs and agreement terms to negotiate improved rates for tactical initiatives.

Quality Assurance:

  • Incorporate quality management principles into all supply chain processes, including safety and sustainability standards.
  • Prioritize customer satisfaction in all decision-making to deliver exceptional service and quality.
  • Investigate and report on supplier-related issues and guest feedback.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for colleagues and suppliers in resolving issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating flexibility and initiative.
  • Aptitude for building professional relationships across diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing abilities with suppliers from various countries.
  • Commercially savvy with demonstrable knowledge of contracts.
  • Capability to manage and make critical quality management decisions.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and adapt to varying work hours.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with software applications that enhance operational efficiencies.
  • Training in Health and Safety for tour operator contracting.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Experience in contracting hotel and DMC products.
  • Background in marine and transport services.
  • A swimmer with knowledge of open water swimming.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in a foreign language.
  • Passion for adventure travel.
  • Degree-level education.
