Principal Infrastructure Engineer – Liverpool


A leading specialist in data centre services, Hamilton Barnes, is seeking an experienced Principal Infrastructure Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of large-scale compute and storage platforms for clients in the health sector.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Infrastructure Design: Collaborate with clients to capture requirements, create solution designs, and present them to stakeholders.
  • Implementation Lead: Drive successful implementation and migration of client workloads, ensuring seamless transitions.
  • Technical Escalation: Serve as the 4th line escalation point for complex incident management and problem resolution, providing expert technical guidance.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure solutions adhere to security best practices and compliance standards, maintaining the highest level of data integrity.


Requirements:

  • Proven expertise in enterprise server, storage, hypervisor, and operating systems, with a strong background in Dell Servers & Storage.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Linux, Unix OS, VMware ESXi, and Active Directory, with excellent communication skills and the ability to influence technical decisions.


Location: North West England (Hybrid – 1 day per week in Liverpool office)

Salary: Up to £70,000 Basic Per Annum
