About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to join our team as a Specialist Clinical Pharmacist for Women, Children and Families. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the development and implementation of our new local Paediatric Formulary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement and maintain the NHS Tayside Paediatric Formulary, working closely with the Paediatric and Neonatal multidisciplinary team (MDT) to support its development and integration.
  • Utilize your prescribing skills in clinical settings to enhance the formulary's efficacy and relevance, collaborating with the Adult Tayside Area Formulary (TAF) team, primary care and community pharmacy colleagues.
  • Contribute to the professional practice development in line with the Advanced Practice and/or Consultant level framework, working closely with the Women, Children and Families team and the Lead WCF Pharmacist.
Qualification and Skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team with excellent collaborative skills, registered as an Independent Prescriber or working towards the qualification.
  • Postgraduate Diploma/MSc in a relevant area or equivalent experience, with a strong understanding of paediatric pharmacy practice and the development of formularies.
