About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Decontamination Specialist to join our team at Ramsay Health Care UK. As a Decontamination Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of infection control and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform the full decontamination cycle on re-usable medical devices to the highest standards, in line with all Ramsay policies and procedures.
  • Participate fully in quality control processes, ensuring procedures and documentation are completed accurately at all times.
  • Work effectively in a team environment and independently as required, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of decontamination procedures, protocols, and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Decontamination Technician within a healthcare setting or a similar role in a similar environment.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, patients, and other stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
  • Good computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software applications.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to work the occasional night shift once competence is achieved.
