Executive Chef

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Jupiter Recruitment. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and cooking of all food in accordance with agreed menus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement menu plans in consultation with residents and management
- Supervise and participate in the preparation and cooking of all food
- Ensure menus are displayed showing choices and that individuals on special diets or with specific cultural needs are catered for
- Check quantity and quality of stock and order items in accordance with the catering manual
- Supervise the kitchen employee team and ensure HACCP's processes and the catering manual are followed and recorded as required
- Manage food expenditure and ensure it is kept within budget in consultation with the Bursar and/or Home Manager
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in a healthcare or hospitality setting
- Excellent cooking skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques
- Knowledge of nutrition and the ability to develop menus that meet dietary requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and work efficiently under pressure
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures
- Ability to train and supervise kitchen staff
