Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement HSE strategies to drive a proactive HSE culture across the site, providing a competitive edge through employee behavior.
  • Coach and mentor the HSE Co-ordinator to ensure effective performance and support change management initiatives.
  • Provide environmental advice to the site, ensuring compliance with environmental permits and regulations.
  • Ensure all HSE legal requirements, policies, and procedures are interpreted, communicated, and documented to maintain site compliance.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Health, Safety, and Environment management system, ensuring relevant paperwork and reports are completed and issued as required.
  • Design, implement, and monitor site HSE performance, analyzing trends and developing action plans to deliver site targets.
  • Identify and coordinate HSE training and development for managers, ensuring key personnel are competent to fulfill their responsibilities.
  • Investigate and record incidents, identifying and recommending improved practices to reduce accidents.
  • Monitor site risk assessment processes and provide assistance to site assessors to ensure risk assessments meet regulatory requirements.
Essential Experience, Training, and Qualifications:
  • Prior HSE experience at managerial level or senior level.
  • High-risk, fast-paced manufacturing or high-risk industry experience, ideally in food, beverage, paper, or packaging.
  • NEBOSH Certificate, ideally Diploma.

  • Positive attitude and ability to converse HSE effectively with senior leadership teams.
