About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Solution Delivery Lead to join our team at West Yorkshire Police. As a key member of our Digital Policing Innovation Team, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of innovative digital solutions that support our policing activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the delivery of IT-related projects, utilizing project management techniques such as Scrum, DSDM, and Agile.
  • Coordinate internal resources, customers, and external suppliers to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Collect, review, and refine requirements for new systems and enhancements to existing systems, ensuring system design meets user needs and conforms to Digital Policing infrastructure standards.
  • Direct and influence force Business Project Leads, Information Asset Owners/Assistants, and Departmental Senior Leadership Teams to scope, inform, and manage technological transition processes.
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain robust project plans, Kanban boards, Sprints/timeboxes, budget management, risk registers, and milestone plans to ensure projects are suitably managed.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in innovative delivery of technologies.
  • Previous supervisory management experience, with a proven ability to lead, motivate, and direct staff.
  • Demonstrated experience of supplier/vendor management.
  • Ability to operate in a consultancy role.
  • Knowledge and experience of Project Management methodologies, including Agile, DSDM, and Scrum.
  • Proven experience of successfully influencing senior management and leadership.
  • Ability to interpret business needs, technical requirements, and system specifications into tender documentation and oversee implementation.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and direct project teams comprising internal stakeholders.
  • Experience of using Microsoft Project or similar Project Management software.
