Digital Solution Delivery Lead

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Digital Solution Delivery Lead to join our Digital Policing Innovation Team at West Yorkshire Police. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of digital solutions that support all areas of policing in West Yorkshire.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, delivery, and implementation of digital solutions, working closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Collaborate with the Digital Delivery Manager to develop and implement project plans, ensuring timely and effective delivery of projects.
• Work with customers to determine system and business needs, ensuring that digital solutions meet the needs of users and conform to Digital Policing infrastructure standards.
• Direct and influence force Business Project Leads, Information Asset Owners/Assistants, and Departmental Senior Leadership Teams to scope, inform, and manage the technological transition process in line with force priorities.
• Develop, monitor, and maintain robust and coherent project plans, Kanban boards, Sprints/timeboxes, budget management, risk registers, and milestone plans to ensure projects are suitably managed.

Requirements

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in innovative delivery of technologies.
• Previous supervisory management experience, with a proven ability to lead, motivate, and direct staff.
• Demonstrated experience of supplier/vendor management.
• Ability to operate in a consultancy role.
• Knowledge and experience of Project Management, including Agile, DSDM, and Scrum methodologies.
• Proven experience of successfully influencing senior management and leadership.
• Ability to interpret business needs, technical requirements, and system specifications into tender documentation and oversee implementation.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and direct project teams comprising internal stakeholders.
• Experience of using Microsoft Project or similar Project Management software.
