About the Role
We are seeking a visionary Senior Project Manager with extensive experience in the waste industry and sustainability to lead our ambitious projects aimed at achieving a circular economy and driving net-zero carbon emissions through innovative digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver high-impact waste management projects from inception to completion.
- Engage with local government agencies, community groups, and industry partners to advance our sustainability and net-zero goals.
- Manage project budgets for the digital twin programme focused on implementing efficiencies in borough waste-related services.
Your Impact
- Develop a central system to create a single source of truth for all waste data for WLWA and the boroughs to deliver cost savings and efficiencies.
- Work in cross-functional teams to support initiatives such as access to services and social value and reuse programmes, with the digital twin providing critical underpinning information.
- Establish relationships with key stakeholders and foster a culture of data-driven decision-making within the Authority and externally.
- Champion the principles of the circular economy and work towards achieving net-zero carbon emissions in all projects.
Requirements
- Degree holders in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related field, with a robust background in project management.
- Experienced project or team leaders with a proven track record in managing change, particularly within the waste management and sustainability sectors.
- Strategic thinkers with a passion for sustainability and a commitment to community values.
