About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled IT professional to join our Infrastructure Services team at Leicestershire County Council. As a Technical Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of our technology solutions, systems, and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the installation, configuration, and administration of virtual and physical servers.
  • Work with modern backup technologies covering both on-premise and cloud systems.
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues, external partners, and suppliers to optimize technology investments.
  • Contribute to the day-to-day operation, administration, and support of key technologies within your remit.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess IT experience with evidence of operating at practitioner level (SFIA1 level 2) and supporting major/business critical IT systems. You will also have experience of working as part of a technical team, with the ability to communicate complex issues verbally and in writing.
