Join Our Team as a Care Team Supervisor

At New Care, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care in our state-of-the-art facilities. We are currently looking for a compassionate and driven Care Team Supervisor to enhance our team. This role is crucial in supporting the Home Manager and Deputy Home Manager in delivering outstanding leadership to our care staff and ensuring the effective management of our home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the highest standard of personalized clinical care to our residents.
  • Oversee, assign tasks, and mentor the care team to ensure quality care throughout each shift.
  • Serve as a role model in demonstrating person-centered care practices.
  • Uphold and promote the welfare of the adults in your care.
  • Manage the implementation of personalized care plans for residents during your shift.
  • Support the Deputy and Home Manager in maintaining professional standards within the home.
  • Provide guidance, training, and evaluation to Care Assistants.
  • Ensure thorough assessment, planning, execution, and review of resident care through comprehensive care documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records as required by regulatory standards.
  • Organize daily schedules and delegate tasks to ensure optimal staffing and safety.
  • Ensure all new resident files are completed promptly, with contributions from the assigned nurse and care team.
  • Foster relationships with external healthcare professionals.
  • Assist in conducting regular quality audits of care plans.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in medication management and administration.
  • Background in working with elderly populations.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Social Care or equivalent qualification.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Social Care or commitment to achieve this within the first year of employment.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, and evaluate care needs for older adults.
  • Strong understanding of the six principles of care and their application in a residential/nursing environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a confident demeanor.
