We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Domestic Violence Advisor to join our team at Black Country Women's Aid. As an IDVA, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality frontline domestic abuse support services to those at high risk of harm.
Key Responsibilities- Assess level of risk and inform victims of their options
- Develop tailored safety plans to protect the victim and their children
- Work within a multi-agency framework to advocate for the victim, including responding and reporting to MARACs
- Support the empowerment of victims/survivors through one-to-one support and group work
- Experience of supporting victims/survivors of domestic abuse
- Ability to manage a caseload and understand the principles of safeguarding children and adults
- Good understanding of the dynamics of domestic abuse and how it can affect victims
As a Domestic Violence Advisor with Black Country Women's Aid, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team and make a real difference in the lives of those affected by domestic abuse.
