Position Title: Vehicle Assembly Technician

Role Overview:
Situated in a state-of-the-art facility, our client is on the lookout for skilled Vehicle Assembly Technicians to enhance their core team.

This position involves collaboration with a Senior Assembly Technician in a forward-thinking vehicle development and engineering atmosphere.

Your contributions will be vital in the assembly, testing, and quality assurance of sophisticated components and complex sub-assemblies, culminating in the complete assembly of custom vehicles.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble complete vehicles and associated sub-assemblies according to detailed build instructions.
  • Maintain rigorous build quality control standards.
  • Install components on prototype and niche vehicles with accuracy.
  • Identify and resolve build and quality challenges in partnership with the engineering team.
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety protocols within an automotive assembly environment.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO9001/IATF16949, ISO Environmental, and OHSA standards.

Qualifications:
  • Competence with standard hand tools and power tools.
  • Preferred candidates will have an apprenticeship and hold a Level 2 or 3 Automotive Technician qualification.
  • Experience in Special Vehicle Operations (SVO), niche vehicle production, motorsport teams, or automotive service networks is highly valued.
  • Ability to interpret workshop manuals and follow basic instructions.
  • Capable of working autonomously with minimal oversight.
  • Basic computer literacy is required; familiarity with Microsoft Office is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive vehicle assembly and repair processes.
  • Experience in light fabrication, manufacturing settings, and mentoring colleagues will be considered beneficial.
