Business Support Officer - Housing

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Support Officer to join our Housing Allocations team at North Northamptonshire Council.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide advice and assistance to customers on the Council's housing register.
  • Assist the Allocations Manager in the day-to-day operation of Keyways, the Council's choice-based allocations scheme.
  • Provide administrative support for the relevant IT system.
  • Process all housing applications to the agreed standards and timescales.
  • Notify all housing applicants of their application status and how to bid.
  • Respond to applicants' enquiries concerning all aspects of the Keyways scheme in writing, by telephone and at interview.

The successful candidate will have experience in an office-based customer-focused environment and the ability to prioritize workloads. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
