Rates of Pay: £15.00 per hour

Purpose of Job:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate support worker to assist with the care and support of our 11-year-old son, who has autistic spectrum disorder. The successful candidate will work alongside us to provide a safe and nurturing environment for our child, while also supporting our younger son.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide one-to-one support to our eldest son, engaging in activities that promote his social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  2. Assist with daily routines, including meal preparation, homework support, and leisure activities.
  3. Supervise and support our younger son, ensuring his needs are met and he feels safe and secure.
  4. Communicate effectively with us, providing regular updates on our child's progress and any concerns that may arise.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with autism or similar needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.
  • Valid DBS check and references.
