Family Support Worker – ETNCL

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Support Worker to join our team at Disability North. The successful candidate will work closely with a family to provide support and care for their 11-year-old son, who has Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support to the child, enabling him to participate in various activities and develop his social skills.
- Assist with daily tasks, such as homework and meal preparation, to promote independence and confidence.
- Support the family in managing the child's behavior and developing strategies to address challenging situations.
- Collaborate with the family and other professionals to ensure a cohesive and effective support plan.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with ASD or similar conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
