About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Physiotherapy Assistant to join our Integrated Respiratory Team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality respiratory care services to patients in the community, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to promote effective self-management and patient education.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supporting patients with respiratory conditions, including COPD, through assessment, education, and escalation to senior staff as needed.
  • Conducting quality FeNo and ARTP accredited Spirometry tests to support the Breathlessness and Diagnostics service.
  • Delivering Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs to patients with respiratory conditions.
  • Supporting the Respiratory Virtual Ward (RVW) service, which aims to reduce hospital admissions and improve patient outcomes.
  • Working collaboratively with the team to develop and implement new pathways and services to improve respiratory care.

Requirements:

  • AP Qualification
  • NVQ L2 numeracy and literacy, with evidence of continued learning
  • Experience working in the NHS, preferably in a community or acute setting
  • Good communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
