Job Summary:We're seeking a highly skilled Technical Agronomist III to join our team in the New York/New England territory. As a key member of our agronomy team, you will be responsible for helping achieve or exceed established regional and territory sales targets by enabling the sales team's expertise to position the full Bayer portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and execute field-scale testing programs, including field testing of commercial Bayer seed products and Ground Breaker trials for new product launches from all platforms.
- Collaborate with seed dealers and growers to plant trials, collect required data, maintain, and harvest trials.
- Provide technical support and training for seed dealers and Bayer sales teams.
- Work with Bayer sales teams to achieve local business objectives through technical support, consultation, and training.
- Establish and execute effective communication and training strategies with seed dealers, providing technical information for seed, trait, and chemistry products.
- Create an annual Agronomy Business Plan for communication and alignment with Sales Teams, outlining strategies and prioritized activities to achieve business objectives.
- Participate actively in local portfolio management and future year forecasting.
- Assume Sales Team and/or Agronomy Team project leadership roles.
- Be compliant with Bayer safety and vehicle safety policies.
- Be responsible for product stewardship and use recommendations for the local territory.
- This role entails driving a company vehicle (pooled or assigned to the individual), which may include driving greater than 7,500 business miles annually in a personal, pooled, or rented vehicle or frequently driving a pooled car as part of your job duties.
- Bachelor's degree in agriculture or a related discipline.
- Experience in agronomy, sales, field development, or research and development roles.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs (a bag of seed).
- Valid driver's license and meeting guidelines based on the company's Risk Screening for Hiring Drivers.
- Possess a DOT Driver medical card or the ability to obtain one through successfully completing and passing a DOT physical.
- Bachelor's degree in agriculture or a related discipline with at least seven years of experience in agronomy, sales, field development, or research and development roles or Master's degree in agriculture or a related discipline with at least four years of experience in agronomy, sales, field development, or research and development roles or Ph.D. in agriculture or a related discipline with at least three years of experience in agronomy, sales, field development, or research and development roles.
