About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Instrumentation Technician to join our team at National Gas Transmission Plc. As a key member of our Operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our gas quality systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Minimise downtime of gas analysers and associated systems to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Engage with the Cyber upgrade project team to ensure successful delivery and achieve Operational Acceptance of new assets.
  • Travel to sites across the country to resolve gas composition queries and perform routine maintenance.
  • Manage firewall and switch configurations, and submit routine maintenance reports to Engineering and Asset Management for approval.
  • Work collaboratively with the Cyber Team to resolve issues identified through cyber audit findings.
  • Support regulatory body audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with gas quality system configurations.

Requirements:

  • Electrical and/or Instrumentation engineering background, with experience as an apprentice.
  • Gas industry experience is advantageous, but we also consider candidates from other sectors.
  • Strong desire to take the next career step in Cyber, with a willingness to invest time and effort in developing skills.
