Position Overview

Objective
To effectively design and conduct British Sign Language (BSL) training sessions (Levels 1, 2, and/or 3) in alignment with established frameworks and standards.

Core Duties
1. To facilitate one or more of the following educational programs through our training academy or other designated venues:

  • Signature NVQC Levels 1, 2, and 3
  • Deaf Awareness Workshops
  • Customized Corporate Training
  • Introductory BSL Sessions

2. To maintain comprehensive and organized documentation of student records, ensuring updates are made following each interaction or communication with learners.

3. To accommodate flexible working hours, which may include evenings and weekends based on contractual obligations, with prior arrangements made to provide ample notice to staff.

4. To create engaging BSL course materials in various formats, including online content, videos, promotional posters, and brochures to attract external organizations.

5. To stay informed about the latest trends and developments in the field of BSL education and related subjects.

6. To support the marketing and promotion of One to One Support Services' training programs and overall business initiatives.

7. To evaluate learners' readiness for Signature examination participation and actively encourage their accomplishments in obtaining formal qualifications.

8. To utilize technology in preparing educational resources and accessing necessary documents, files, and examination bookings from relevant platforms.

9. To assess individual learners' proficiency in sign language and implement tailored training plans to ensure their continuous progress.

10. To possess experience in teaching BSL within a classroom setting and hold a Level 3 BSL qualification.
