Job Summary:

NES Fircroft is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to join our team in Aberdeen. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering major modification projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a multi-discipline team of engineers to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Ensure the technical and safety integrity of engineering work is maintained at all times.
  • Generate project deliverables using NES Fircroft's systems and tools.
  • Review and check the work of others, and be responsible for their performance within their discipline.
  • Compile weekly reports on progress via project tools.
  • Liaise with client project and facilities engineering to deliver work on schedule and within budget.
  • Accountable for the effective administration and implementation of Management of Change.
  • Prepare cost and time estimates via NES Fircroft's systems.
  • Input into the planning, coordination, and execution of the team's work activities.
  • Liaise with other disciplines on design, construction, fabrication, and commissioning issues.
  • Provide engineering and technical direction for drawing office personnel.
  • Develop engineering concepts and detail designs.
  • Prepare CTR estimates for structural scopes.

Requirements:

  • Sound working knowledge of relevant structural design codes.
  • Experience/qualification in Structural Engineering.
  • Solution-oriented with good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards.
  • Strong work ethics and a proactive attitude.
  • The ability to train and mentor discipline engineers.
  • A commercial mindset, good communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • The ability to see solutions together with meeting customer expectations and requirements.
  • The competency to be accurate, flexible, and organized.
