About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Underwriting Assistant to join our team at Aviva. As an Underwriting Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Trading Underwriter team in London to deliver end-to-end policy management for large, complex corporate risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Trading Underwriter team to deliver policy management services
  • Identify and drive opportunities for operational improvements
  • Deliver business-important metrics to the management team
  • Take personal responsibility for development in line with business strategy
  • Act on feedback from customers and share ideas with managers and peers
Requirements
  • Proven record of delivering excellent customer outcomes
  • Good knowledge of IT, including spreadsheets, databases, and word processing
  • Previous underwriting experience is not essential, as full training will be provided
  • Experience in building and encouraging positive internal and external relationships
  • Previous experience in the insurance or financial industry is preferable but not essential
