Bereavement Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Bereavement Specialist to join our team at Enable. As a Bereavement Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting families and individuals during times of bereavement.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to families and individuals, responding to their needs and concerns in a sensitive and professional manner.
- Assist with the day-to-day operation of the crematorium and cemeteries, including marking graves, completing graveside checks, and monitoring public areas.
- Collaborate with the administration team to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks, including inputting historical data and compiling audit reports.
- Attend burials and memorial services, ensuring that all requests are met and that the services are conducted with dignity and respect.
- Monitor and control cremations, including inputting data into computer systems and resolving technical issues as needed.
- Liaise with officiants, organists, and funeral directors to ensure smooth and respectful funeral services.
- Experience working in a bereavement or care-based environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal with sensitive and emotive situations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
- Basic knowledge of computer packages, including Windows and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to drive and own a vehicle insured for business use.
