Internal Marketing Communications Coordinator

Our client, a prominent investment banking institution, is in search of an Internal Communications Coordinator to assist their management team and the Internal Communications Manager in the strategic planning and execution of internal communications.

This role is a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension.

The position entails the development and execution of a comprehensive communications strategy, daily employee announcements, management messaging, and event coordination.

Additionally, the role requires collaboration with key stakeholders throughout the organization to effectively represent the communications division.

You will work closely with Group Communications to ensure a unified and consistent messaging approach, as well as facilitate the local dissemination of organization-wide communications when appropriate.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Developing and executing a detailed communications strategy.
  • Conducting research for content creation, writing, and editing materials for the intranet, and managing email communications.
  • Overseeing internal communication-driven events, including the Lunch & Learn program.
  • Coordinating the monthly Stories communication initiative.
  • Regularly updating the intranet presence and providing training across various departments.
  • Engaging with diverse stakeholders across the organization, including the Diversity Council, the Green Team, and other CSR initiatives to manage their communications.
  • Enhancing the use of video content for internal messaging.
  • Collaborating with the graphics agency to brief campaigns and online publications.
  • Occasionally assisting at other internal and external events.

About You:

  • You will possess experience in the financial services sector, preferably within a banking context.
  • You should demonstrate the confidence to provide constructive feedback and propose alternative strategies when necessary.
  • A solid understanding of communication strategies and channels is essential.
  • You must be an exceptional communicator, both verbally and in writing, with keen attention to detail and the ability to propose innovative ideas as needed.
