This role offers the opportunity to work from various locations, as we aim to expand our Fire Safety Consulting teams across different regions.
Key Responsibilities:- Engage in diverse sectors, from residential properties to transportation and renewable energy facilities.
- Oversee multiple engineering initiatives from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations.
- Ensure project delivery aligns with budgetary and timeline constraints.
- Stay informed on relevant regulations and legislative changes.
- Develop innovative fire safety solutions and ensure the effective implementation of fire safety strategies.
- Evaluate fire-related risks in projects and collaborate to mitigate them effectively.
- Review and assess the quality of fire safety installations.
- Prepare bids for new projects.
- Draft reports, participate in design meetings, and communicate with client representatives as necessary.
- Degree in Engineering, ideally in Fire Engineering, or a relevant postgraduate qualification (candidates with other backgrounds may also be considered).
- Proven track record in successfully managing fire safety projects, with experience in various sectors being advantageous.
- Extensive knowledge of fire safety standards, including but not limited to BS9999, NFPA 130, BS9992, EN45545.
- Customer-focused mindset, fostering this approach within the team.
- Aspiring towards chartered fire engineer status.
- Adaptable to different working environments.
- Willingness to travel is a plus.
- Experience in fire modeling is beneficial.
- Strong commercial acumen.
- Ability to gather information and present it in a clear, structured manner in reports.
