Childrens Residential Deputy Manager Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Home Manager to join our team at our new emotional well-being home in Syston, Leicestershire. As a Deputy Home Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the Manager in achieving a rating of "Good" or above in our Ofsted inspections.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring that all aspects of care and support are delivered to a high standard.
  • Lead and manage a team of staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are equipped to provide the best possible care to our service users.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that the home is running efficiently and effectively.
  • Work closely with the Manager to ensure that the home is meeting the needs of our service users and that we are providing a high-quality service.
Requirements:
  • Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year's experience in a supervisory or shift leader role in a children's residential setting.
  • Knowledge and experience of working with Ofsted regulations and quality standards of children's homes.
  • Ability to work towards the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children & Young People's services.
