Liberata is seeking a skilled Benefits Assessor to join our team. As a Benefits Assessor, you will play a crucial role in processing applications for free school meals, school uniform grants, and crisis awards. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that awards are determined accurately and within service level agreements. You will also be responsible for ensuring that requests for supporting evidence are clear and concise, and that entitlement to other welfare benefits, including council tax support and discretionary housing payments, is maximized. Additionally, you will be required to complete the Performance Management tool accurately and provide weekly performance information to the Line Manager in a timely manner. You will participate in weekly and monthly employee review meetings and ensure that your knowledge is kept up to date in relation to Liberata policies and procedures. To be successful in this role, you will need to be educated to GCSE level or equivalent with a minimum of 5 grades A-C, including English and Maths. You will also need to have experience in meeting targets and developing your own performance, as well as competency in the use of various IT systems. Good verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role.
