Job Title: Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor to join our team at Breedon Group plc. As a key member of our GB Cement division, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees, contractors, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice on health, safety, and wellbeing matters to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement health and safety programs, including training and competency frameworks, to ensure a culture of zero harm.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and maintain a framework for ensuring legal compliance with health and safety matters.
  • Identify and implement best practices in health and safety to improve our performance and reputation.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety legislative requirements.
  • Deliver training and coaching to employees and contractors on health and safety matters.
  • Oversee the induction program for visitors and contractor partners.
Requirements:
  • NEBOSH National Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent)
  • IOSH membership
  • NEBOSH National Diploma (advantageous)
  • Extensive relevant health and safety advisory experience
  • Excellent track record in managing leading and lagging health and safety metrics
  • Demonstrable level of competency in auditing
