Job Summary:

Portfolio Payroll is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team on a permanent basis. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for processing new starters, leavers, transfers, and general changes to employee records. You will also be responsible for processing statutory payments, third-party payments, and completing manual pay calculations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Record Management: Process new starters, leavers, transfers, and general changes to employee records in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Statutory Payments: Process statutory payments, including but not limited to, income tax, national insurance, and pension contributions.
  • Third-Party Payments: Process third-party payments, including but not limited to, benefits, bonuses, and other non-salary payments.
  • Manual Pay Calculations: Complete manual pay calculations, including but not limited to, overtime, bonuses, and other non-standard payments.
  • Payroll Queries: Respond to payroll queries in a timely and problem-solving manner, providing accurate and clear information to employees and management.
  • Ad-Hoc Tasks: Assist with ad-hoc payroll tasks, including but not limited to, year-end processing, payroll audits, and other special projects.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years payroll experience, preferably in a similar role.
  • Skills: Proactive and enthusiastic individual with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Team Player: A team player with a strong work ethic and ability to work under pressure.
  • Self-Motivated: Self-motivated and driven individual with a strong attention to detail.
